I know no one reads this, and no one really cares about what i say on here..but I am bored so i am going to do what i want ok? And it being 2009 i figured it was time for me to talk about what i always talk about..music. and more importantly my favorite cds of 2008. Alright cool, here we go johnson. In no particular order of course: Oh and google images hates me, and i am too lazy to resize everything, so everything is a different size and it looks sloppy. Get over it.

Life In Your Way's Waking Giants
Honestly, some of the best lyrics i have ever heard. I really got this cd in 2007, but rediscovered it,/ fell back in love with it in these past couple of months. Every song on here is such an inspiration for my Christian walk, this cd really helps me not feel discouraged, helps me...for lack of better phrase..stay positive. I know, how lame am i? "I will labor at your door, but i will labor not in vain."

Manchester Orchestra, I'm Like a Virgin Losing a Child
Every song Messes has written this year, has in some way, been influenced by any song on this cd. (We have also had some stuff we had to scrap because it sounded too much like them..oh well.) Such a strong cd, for a debut cd. Honestly, some of the best, original sounding music out today. Perfect lyrics, you can hear the emotion in Andy Hull's voice through every word, and the musical arrangements are pure genius. Come on, this is their first cd, and they are already fully endorsed and done plenty of touring time with Brand New and mewithoutYou. That sums up everything right there.

Showbread Anorexia/Nervosa

Showbread has long been one of my favorite bands, not just for their original blend of music, that if i described, your thought would be "That doesn't work."
Trust me, it does. But they have been one of my favorite bands, just for the people in it. I have seen them around 8 times now, and every time every member is amazingly nice. Every one goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable, you feel completely loved around them. 100% the Love of God being shown through them. Amazing live show from this cd, honestly like nothing i have ever seen before.

City and Colour Bring Me Your Love

Nothing more needs to be said. All in all a perfect cd.

Five Iron Frenzy Five Iron Frenzy 2: Electric Boogaloo

Five Iron will always be one of my favorite bands. Unfortunately, i never fully grasped the genius of this cd until this year. I dont know why, I always focused on every other cd besides this one. So much wasted time..this cd is perfect. This was the cd released before the band announced they were breaking up, and the clues are all in there. It is their darkest cd, but still every song is true worship. Its a prime example of worshipping God through struggle.
